What is a Drop In Center 

 

 

A Drop in Center is a non-profit community based organization that provides a safe & supportive environment for people diagnosed with mental illness. OUR Drop In Center fosters a stigma free and sober atmosphere were members feel accepted and can grow in the areas of self-worth, dignity, respect and inclusion. Drop In Centers serve individuals with a mental illness and or substance abuse disorder diagnosis who require support and assistance in living and recovering from their disorders. Individuals are given the opportunity to engage in activities such as daily living skills, socialization, soft employment skill, and coping techniques. We offer groups such as arts & crafts, sewing skills, healthy eating and food prep.

Wellness Recovery Action Plan

  • WRAP is a structured system to monitor uncomfortable and distressing symptoms that can help someone reduce, modify or eliminate those symptoms by using planned responses. This includes plans for how the member wants others to respond when symptoms have made it impossible for them to continue to make decisions, how to take care of their mental health needs and keep themselves safe.

  • This workshop taught by Certified  Wrap Facilitators who are also Peer Support Specialists.
